The Amstel Dance Trophy is organised by Enjoy Ballroom and Latin, Hans Kruimer, J.C. van Wessemstraat 68, 1501 VM Zaandam, info@enjoyballroomandlatin.nl. Hans Kruimer is a qualified dance teacher on behalf of the FDO and registered as an official with the FDO, the NDO and the WDC.
Complaints about the competition should first be raised directly with the organisers. If that does not resolve matters, you can turn to your own sports federation or your insurer.
The competition is international. Visitors and dancers come mainly from the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France, England and the rest of the EU. Dancers are members of their own recognised federation and compete in the class that goes with it.
The judges are recognised by their federation and are invited in a personal capacity. The choice of judges is not discussed with individual entrants, and judges do not comment on individual performances. If you wish to complain about a judge, you do so through your own federation.
The organisers are responsible for the running of the competition and for the results. A final has a maximum of six entrants. If couples finish level, an extra couple may dance. At the prize-giving you are announced with your placing.
There is a separate hall for warming up and there are two changing rooms with clothing rails. The changing rooms are intended for dancers and those accompanying them.
There are three kinds of ticket: for the competition, for the workshop and for the afterparty. A competition ticket includes your start number and entry in several classes, and gives free admission to the afterparty.
Tickets are personal and cannot be transferred. They are scanned on arrival, on paper or on your phone, and you receive a wristband. Once scanned, the ticket is no longer valid. Drinks are not included, unless expressly stated.
Up to four weeks before the event, tickets are refunded in full. Between four and two weeks before, half is refunded; between two weeks and one week before, a quarter. In the final week there is no refund.
The competition floor is parquet. Ladies and followers dance with caps on their heels. Treating the soles of your shoes with oil or other substances is not permitted. Be careful with water as well. If you cause damage to the floor or to anything else in the building, the organisers will recover the cost from you.
Photographs are taken, by the organisers and by visitors. By taking part you agree to general photographs in which you appear as part of a group. If you would rather not have individual photographs taken of you, ask for a sticker at the entrance. Photographs from this site may not be used for commercial purposes without permission from the organisers and the people concerned.
When you order online, the organisers receive your name and account number. Those details are kept because of tax legislation, at the bank in the account of Cl3space, which Enjoy Ballroom and Latin falls under.
We also ask for your name, email address, telephone number, town and country. Dancers are also asked for their federation and their class or category. Name, email address and telephone number are deleted within one month of the competition day. What remains is anonymised: ticket type, country and dance category.
Your details are not shared with anyone, except with the Dutch tax authorities on request, the bookkeeping of Cl3space, the bank in the case of an online payment, and your own dance federation for the registration of your result.
You have the right to see your data, to have it corrected or to have it deleted. Send an email to info@enjoyballroomandlatin.nl for that. If you cannot resolve it with the organisers, you can lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
This site runs on WordPress with Elementor. Ticket sales run through Pretix, on a subdomain of its own. It can therefore not be ruled out that data is collected through those parties.
There are two kinds of cookies. Functional cookies are needed to make the site work and to remember your cookie choice. Those are always on. In addition we use Google Analytics, through Google Tag Manager, to see which pages are viewed and how often a ticket button is clicked. Those cookies are only placed once you give permission in the cookie notice.
No personal profiles are built and no data is sold. You can change your choice at any time through the cookie notice.
