Three halls, one day

CanDance is a dance studio on Isolatorweg in Amsterdam. For 6 February the whole building has been hired, so nothing else runs alongside it.

Main hall. The competition floor, a net 12 by 25 metres, with a genuine floating parquet surface. There are chairs on both sides and at the far end.
Second hall. Ten by twenty metres, kept empty so dancers can warm up in peace on a floor of the same quality.
Third hall. Six by ten metres, set up as an extra changing room with clothing rails.

Next to the competition floor there is an open area of about six by eighteen metres to sit and eat.

The floor

The floor is parquet, a real dance floor. Ladies and followers dance with caps on their heels. Be careful with wax, oil and above all with water. A dance shop will be present where you can buy caps and brushes. You are responsible for any damage to the floor and to other objects inside CanDance.

Food and drink

Coffee, tea and soft drinks are available at the bar. Gewoon Harvey is there all day with sandwiches, snacks and hot food. You pay for what you order yourself.

Getting there

Train. Amsterdam Sloterdijk station is about a fifteen-minute walk away. There is a direct connection from Schiphol.
Metro. The metro brings you closer still, about a five-minute walk from there.
Car. Take the A10 towards Sloterdijk and you are almost there. Parking is free for now.
Staying over. There are plenty of hotels around Sloterdijk. The IBIS is right next to CanDance.
